Thank you for the insight. I didn't know the history of the Swiss Army knife. Very interesting: On April 26, 2005 Victorinox acquired Wenger, becoming once again the sole supplier of knives to the Swiss Army. Victorinox has stated that it intends to keep both consumer brands intact.

Victorinox is actually the original Swiss Army Knife manufacturer. Wenger is the second. They are actually called "The Original" (Vic) and "The Genuine" (Wenger). And Victorinox bought Wenger a few years back to save them from bankruptcy or foreign ownership.

If you were referring to the Giant, it's not the one and only, either, obviously. Originally made as a one-off, people started requesting their own, and Wenger was happy to oblige.

BTW, all the knives in your widget there are Victorinox knives. LOL
